ABOUT MALLORY
Here at Mallory Jo Photo I strive to make you feel loved and valued.
Overall, I consider myself an artist.
When it comes to photography, I specialize in portrait and product. I have worked with countless families and shoot for brands such as Hanes, Champion, and Maidenform doing lifestyle and in studio photography.
I am a simple woman with a passion for the arts instilled in her by the Creator of all. I believe you (or your product) have a story to tell and I want to help capture that.
The genuine moments, real family, and honest love that make this time on Earth what it is.
My story
I have always had a love for photography. My dad is a photographer and works in the printing industry so I grew up around cameras and learned to “say cheese” at a young age. At 12 years old I got my first camera and took pictures of anything and everything. With my love for photography came the realization that I had a lot to learn. Luckily, my dad is a great teacher. I became serious about the career my senior year of high school when I started taking senior photos for my friends.
Despite LOVING it, I didn’t really know how to actually make money at it. I decided to go to UNC Asheville for art education. (having always loved children and art I thought why not!?) I quickly learned college was not for me. There was a whole world out there just waiting to be captured! So many opportunities that actually didn’t need a college degree.
So, I decided to take a break from college and try to pursue this “photography thing” full time. And thus began Mallory Jo Photo. It has been quite the journey and I am still on it. I’ve learned SO much over these past 2 years and cannot wait to see what new discoveries are made. I love meeting new people and making clients feel like friends.
I love wildflowers, coffee, and the details we often overlook.
I love my dear husband Patrick, our dog Sammy, and the city of Asheville that I get to call home.

Over on the Blog you'll find some deep personal writings along with some other lighthearted ones. These are simply to help you to get to know me better and view me more as a friend, not just the lady behind the lens.
If you’ve read this far, THANK YOU! This dream would not be possible without you.
